I've always wanted to have a pool, but until I moved to the ranch, could never have one because my former suburban yard a) wasn't large enough for flowers and a pool, and flowers always won! and b) it would have killed the grass and I wasn't interested in doing that.

Now that I've got the room (7 acres), and not really a "lawn" to speak of, up went the pool. I've only been in it a couple of times so far, and, surprisingly, I've so far been able to keep the chemicals pretty much in balance. There's still lots of hot weather in store for us, so I'm looking forward to spending more time in the cool water.
